iFix System:  Business Management Web App

iFix is a local repair and sales business based in West Bali. As the business grows, the owner needed a system that could replace his manual Excel-based workflow with something more organized and user-friendly.

This project focuses on building a custom POS system with three key features: a POS for daily sales, a Service POS to manage repair orders, and an Accounting module to handle financial tracking. The goal is to create a system that supports the business’s growth, simplifies day-to-day operations, and ensures a smooth and clear transition from spreadsheets to a more structured, digital solution.

Challenges and insights

This is the biggest and most complex project I’ve worked on so far. I’m building it together with two amazing freelancers. Agung Krisna has been a huge help—he’s the full-stack developer I trust most for this project. I’m also working closely with my husband, Yoga, who is also handling full-stack development.

From the beginning of the design process, I made sure the system follows the same flow that the owner and staff already use in their daily work. My goal is to keep the transition from Excel to digital smooth and familiar for them. To speed up the process and keep things consistent, we decided to use prebuilt UI components from shadcn/ui. It’s a widely used component library for dashboards and internal systems, which helped us move faster while keeping the interface clean and reliable.

The most challenging part is definitely the accounting module. Since we’re working with a lot of data from the owner’s Excel sheets, we need to make sure the structure, terminology, and flow we use in the system follow proper accounting standards. It’s important that the system feels familiar to the team, but also accurate and aligned with how accounting is formally done. This part requires deeper research and careful planning to make sure everything is clear, organized, and reliable moving forward.

The project is still ongoing, and we’re currently about 30% through the full process.
